	Alan W. Brown, M.D., F.A.C.S. Alan W. Brown, MD is a distinguished Cataract and LASIK surgeon whose experience and skills make him well versed in the field of ophthalmic surgery. Dr. Brown is trained in the latest techniques of refractive surgery and has invented surgical instruments to make refractive surgery more accurate; these innovations are used by surgeons around the world. He was the first to introduce many new state-of-the-art techniques to the area and continually quests for knowledge in the field of LASIK and Cataract Surgery. In addition, Dr. Brown has pioneered a new surgical illumination technique which allows the surgeon to better view the eye during surgery. This technique makes the surgery more comfortable for the patient and also helps protect the eye from excess light during surgery. Dr. Brown has also invented numerous instruments for cataract, glaucoma, and retinal surgery and presents these innovations frequently at national medical meetings.
